I know once I hit the grocery store, I usually get overwhelmed and I’m not really sure what is best to buy. With the help of this book, shopping lists are much easier to make. Whether it is the “Decadent Dairies” or the “Vivacious Vegetables” I go for, I know that I’ll have a list of what is best for me.

Keeping your weight under control is one of the hardest things about being in college (maybe even harder than your classes, unless you are pre med or something). Being a college sophomore I have tried every trick in the book, and every diet out there. I once even tried to substitute two meals a day with slim fast shakes (I would not recommend that, it was not very fun or effective). So when I came across Shelly Marie’s book Eat Well and Be Fabulous I have to admit I was a little weary. However, after reading her book not only do I have a new outlook on my own eating habits, I realized why nothing else I tried had worked before.

Recipe from Eat Well and Be Fabulous

Stir-Fry Chicken
You will need:

Hormel or Tyson Chicken Strips Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice Microwave Packet Frozen Stir-Fry Vegetable Packet Low Sodium Soy Sauce

  • Spray saucepan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Add frozen vegetables. Cook for 3-5 minutes.
  • While vegetables are cooking, prepare rice packet in microwave.
  • Add chicken to vegetables. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add one small spoon of soy sauce. Cook for 30 seconds.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in Rice.
